About The Entry

When seconds matter, access to advanced imaging can mean the difference between uncertainty and lifesaving care.
To anchor its largest fundraising event of the year, Georgetown Hospital Foundation partnered with SVG to create a powerful campaign film supporting the purchase of a new CT scanner for Georgetown Hospital.
Created specifically for a live Gala audience, the piece featured hospital staff from across departments, delivering an urgent and deeply personal call to action. Rather than focusing solely on equipment, it centered on real people and real scenarios where immediate CT imaging changes outcomes. The message was clear: lifesaving care should be available close to home.
Premiered before a room of community leaders, physicians, and donors, the video became the emotional centerpiece of the evening. Its storytelling was intentionally crafted to build momentum and inspire generosity in real time.
The result: nearly $600,000 raised in a single night, making it the most successful Gala in Georgetown Hospital Foundation history.
More than a video, the project served as a strategic fundraising catalyst, demonstrating how powerful storytelling can move an audience from emotion to action and directly shape the future of healthcare in a community.
