About The Entry
"Harmony in Nature: A Visual Symphony" is an art exhibition created by Luo Hao. All flowers will fade with time. Therefore, the artist chooses painting rather than words to preserve the traces of blooming life.
Inspired by Thailand’s warm climate where flowers blossom year-round, the series adopts diverse creative media including markers, technical pens, colored pencils and graphite sketches. Different painting materials are selected to match the unique temperament of each flower. One core composite artwork takes chrysanthemum as the visual center, arranging various flowers following their natural growth posture to build a coexisting floral scene. Other works record the shape of individual blooms, decorated with delicate line sketches. Four monochrome graphite sketches form an important part of the collection.
The exhibition combines flat paintings and framed dried flower installations, creating an interplay between two-dimensional and three-dimensional visuals, allowing visitors to feel as if wandering among diverse clusters of flowers. Many audiences love flowers but suffer discomfort caused by pollen, and this display method avoids fresh flowers, letting them appreciate the beauty of blossoms safely. Compared with constructing simulated garden landscapes, this solution also saves space and controls costs reasonably. Creations also incorporate sketches of ancient Boshan incense burners. Curling smoke visualizes floral fragrance, building a bridge between ancient aesthetics and modern painting. Dried flower displays further extend the idea of retaining fleeting beauty.
