This is a completely custom 3D environment inspired by a server room and computer circuit board. The lighting is dark and dramatic to give a high-tech, future-forward feel that could easily double for a science fiction movie trailer. To enhance the realism, light sources are interacting with the environment. The viewer is transported from scene to scene, following the script. When the narrator describes the IT talent shortage, the virtual camera approaches holograms of people standing inside the virtual space that flicker and disappear – as elusive as IT talent can be in real life. The videos along the wall, the holograms and the text provide illumination in the room and reflect off the textures on the floor - intricately placed modules, nodes and circuits which are designed to catch light as the camera moves. Also adding to the realism is the camera's depth of field, which works like a real camera where closer objects are in better focus than those in the distance.
