2025 marks the centennial of the National Palace Museum (NPM). In the spirit of "A Century of the Palace Museum, A Museum for All," the NPM presents its commemorative film, Everyday Occurrences, Feel the Connection.
Centered on the motif of the "circle," the film explores the timeless beauty of cultural artifacts by weaving together Emperor Huizong’s calligraphy of "one" and "hundred" into a vision of "100+." By bridging profound emotion with daily life, ancient heritage is reimagined through a modern aesthetic. The film highlights the artistry of four signature masterpieces: the Jadeite Cabbage, the Narcissus Basin in Bluish-green Glaze (Ru Ware), the Tibetan Dragon Sūtra, and the Huaisu’s Autobiography calligraphy.
Beyond showcasing exquisite craftsmanship, the film interweaves these treasures with contemporary scenes, demonstrating that art transcends museum walls to reside in the joy, tranquility, faith, and inspiration of the everyday. It is a visual poem merging heritage with the present—a love letter dedicated to the National Palace Museum.
