This work employs mixed materials such as potato starch, gelatin, and paraffin, using the figure of the “Potato Man” as a symbol to highlight the absurd cycle of life forms being consumed, produced, eaten, and decayed within human society. Life is treated as food, furniture, fertilizer, sperm, and remains, constantly shifting between life and death, use and abandonment. Human existence itself may be nothing more than the continuation of another kind of material. The work invites viewers to reflect: when humanity treats all things as consumables, can it escape becoming part of the same cycle of use and replacement? This is the absurd yet inevitable recurrence of life.
