The World Heritage Day event is an immersive cultural experience that reimagines Saudi heritage through a contemporary lens, blending sensory engagement with visual storytelling. The project highlights the rich cultural diversity across all regions of Saudi Arabia, offering visitors a dynamic space to explore, interact with, and celebrate the Kingdom’s cultural legacy.
The event features two main components:
The Immersive Journey
A multi-dimensional experience that transports visitors through eight Saudi sites inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Through advanced interactive technologies and compelling visual narratives, each site is brought to life, allowing visitors to engage with its unique atmosphere and historical depth. The journey also sheds light on elements of Saudi Arabia’s intangible cultural heritage — such as oral traditions, customs, and performing arts — presented in a modern, participatory format that invites deeper connection.
The Heritage Valley
A vibrant space dedicated to traditional Saudi handicrafts, where artisans from across the Kingdom present live demonstrations of time-honored techniques. This celebration of craftsmanship coincides with the Year of Handicrafts 2025, highlighting the artistic and cultural value of manual arts passed down through generations.
This event stands as a model for contemporary cultural engagement where heritage is not only preserved but experienced contributing to a deeper, more active connection with culture.
