About The Entry

This design is the 2025 calendar book published by the National Museum of China. The overall design draws inspiration from traditional Chinese book cases but incorporates innovative craftsmanship and contemporary concepts. While presenting an Eastern aesthetic, it also offers practical and reusable, eco-friendly value.
The outer case creatively uses translucent wine-red acrylic with die-cut hollow sections, showcasing the beauty of national treasures. After the calendar is used up, the outer case can be repurposed as a pen holder or small vase, adding practical and display value.
The inner booklets are divided into four volumes according to the seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—enhancing usability and making it easier to browse. Each page features a national treasure from Chinese history, combining a classic Western grid system with Eastern aesthetics.
